HOW YOU CAN HELP
How you can help
The best help would be volunteering as a Hart First Responder!
The best help would be volunteering as a Hart First Responder!
Volunteers do not need to have prior experience of first aid or be from any particular walk of life. You will receive thorough training from the Ambulance Service before going out on call and you must be prepared to be checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service. You must also have your own transport. You will be provided with a mobile phone for HART use only, together with appropriate clothing and a Full Emergency Kit.
Stop Press - Owing to a great reaction to our request for help, we currently have sufficient Responders for the time being.
But you can also help:
lf you want to know about any of the above then please email HART using the Contact us menu button.
- By offering to raise money for HART by staging some sort of event perhaps, or if you belong to a local club or society, you might ask them to stage an event with HART being one of the beneficiaries.
- By making a donation yourself; no matter how small it would be greatly appreciated by HART and of great use. You can donate to our Treasurer by (a) submitting your details via Contact Us (and we will get back to you), or (b) by visiting our donation page and in both cases you can use Gift Aid to increase the size of your donation. If you run a business or belong to a club, you could have a HART collection box on your premises.
- STOP PRESS: You can also make a fixed sum donation by texting HART to 70460 to give £5 or HART to 70470 to give £2
- By publicising HART to your friends and workmates.
- By attending one of our public training and awareness courses (only 90 minutes), and learn about defibrillators and receive training in chest compressions (CPR).
- By asking HART to run a short awareness and training course at your club, society or place of work.
lf you want to know about any of the above then please email HART using the Contact us menu button.
